Body Mapping
Body mapping is a way of understanding how your body works. For a long time the importance of this was not understood, but today we all have to spend so much time with the instrument that it is important to understand how not to overwork. The result of overwork is all different kind of injuries, such as tendonitis and dystonia, ect..
To understand how it all works one can do the needed work, but not overdo and in this manner avoid many problems in playing. The other benefit is that through simplifying movements playing can get much easier and learning can be faster and easier leaving more time for learning music.
The course explains how the body works and provides musicians with tools for learning and understanding the mechanism of the body to facilitate playing. In many cases musicians have become much more expressive in performance. This can happen, because tension narrows down the possibilities of flexibility in sound and technique in all different aspects.
